Salt Spring Island · Festival Package 2027
Daryl Chonka
Atmospheric folk. Earthy rhythms. Songs that find their way home.
2027 festival bookings: Daryl Chonka with guitarist Dan Howlett — two performers.
Music with its feet on the ground and room for the mind to wander.
Daryl Chonka is a singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist from Salt Spring Island, British Columbia. His music brings together intimate songwriting, earthy rhythms and expansive, psychedelic textures.
His new album, HOME, is shaped by the forests, ocean and close-knit community of the Pacific Northwest. Its songs explore belonging, connection and the possibility of finding home wherever we are. Intimate writing opens into spacious arrangements, moving between quiet reflection and an outward-reaching sense of possibility.
Alongside his own music, Chonka has spent more than 25 years working in recording studios and on stages. For 2027 festival appearances, he is joined by guitarist Dan Howlett, bringing the songs into a two-person setting built around voice and the conversation between their instruments.
HOME releases November 13, 2026 on vinyl, CD and download.
